Our Story
FB4K Minneapolis gave away 300 bikes during their first year in 2008. Since then, FB4K has given away over 60,000 bikes to kids through affiliates across the country. The momentum continues to grow, as new regions are launching each year.
Free Bikes 4 Kidz Eugene-Springfield was founded in 2018. Community members donated 200 used bikes, and we were able to refurbish (thanks to the help of many volunteers!) and donate the majority of them to kids right here in our community. The bikes that weren’t able to be given new life were recycled, keeping waste and material out of landfills.

Mission & Purpose
Free Bikes 4 Kidz Eugene-Springfield is a non-profit organization geared toward helping all kids ride into a happier, healthier childhood by providing bikes to those most in need. The public donates gently used bikes, we organize volunteers to clean and refurbish them, and then we give them away to kids in need.
Our Method
Every year 25 million bikes are sold in the US. One-third of those bikes are 20” wheel-size, or smaller. Since kids grow like weeds, over 8 million bikes are virtually outgrown each year. Endless supply. Sustainability.
Our Board of Directors and Staff
Free Bikes 4 Kidz is driven by a passionate and invested board of directors and staff.

Our Partners
Through the generous help of key partners, FB4K has gone far, but we still need support in building the foundation to help every kid ride into a more memorable childhood.
